Ibiza

You searching for that ultimate holiday and Ibiza pops up in your face with the latest and greatest offer, but hold on what hotel is that? You’ve got a hotel in the middle of nowhere and as cheap as chips. You jump on the plane arrive at the hotel and find out that just about everything don’t work and the builders next door are staring at you while you shower in cold water! And your view is a builder’s yard. Don’t let this happen!

TIP: Research your hotel, location, facilities, what beach you are close too and of course make sure the hotel you stay in has a star rating.

Hotels to choose

The Island of Ibiza has a great selection of hotels and apartments; in fact there are so many hotels on the Island it’s difficult to say which one is the best and which ones not to stay in. But Ibiza has good 50 or so hotels that stick out and have been established for over 30 years along with a few new ones that have been in the hotel business for just as long. Ibiza has three 5 star hotels which are the best of the best on the Island. More 5 star hotels will be built over the next few years to keep up with the demand. The 4 star markets of hotels is a lot bigger and this list is probably where you are going to find the best deal. The 4 star markets of hotels have the highest demand. People seem love 4 star hotels that have just about everything along with modern comforts and facilities that you would expect from a 4 star. 85% of clients who stay in a hotel want internet access. Almost all 4 star hotels on Ibiza have internet access but do check this. The last thing you want is to turn up with your I-Pad, Laptop or IPhone and see that your hotel has no internet access.

3 star hotels has the largest choice, with well over 100 hotels being 3 star, this market was extremely popular during the 80’s and still has popular demand for young couples and families who seek a cheap holiday. Research into the 3 star market could take you longer, but you could also find you could save some money on things you don’t need that a 4 star offers. Most 4 star hotels now have spa facilities compared to a 3 star that doesn’t , so for some of you this might be one thing you do not want in your hotel and do not want to pay extra for.

Country Hotels

Although the most popular hotels are located around the main towns and resorts, there is another type of hotel that has been very popular for an upper class clientele, these are called Agroturismo hotels, rural hotels and the name that stands out the most is a country hotel. They are located all-round the Island and are normally 4 or 5 star rating.

What you need?

Swimming pools

You are coming to Ibiza for one reason and that is the weather. Hot sun is what it’s all about and Ibiza has plenty of that during the summer months. Staying at a hotel without a swimming pool just isn’t going to be a holiday unless you are a beach lover and you are not too bothered about a hotel pool. 90% of the hotels on the Island have a pool and what is worth looking into, is do they have a children’s pool. Could ruin your holiday if the kids have no pool to use, or your whole holiday could be teaching your young children to swim.

Distances

Even though you are in a hotel, you still however need a supermarket, restaurant and a few shops nearby. So choosing a location comes as important as choosing a hotel. Check the distances to nearest shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife. You don’t want to be walking miles just to get some essentials.
