Villas in Ibiza

You are coming to Ibiza for your holiday and you are searching hundreds of hotel sites, apartment’s sites and you have flooded your brain with facilities, locations, prices, special offers and best deals. Well make a change from the average and try a holiday villa. Rent a luxury villa during your stay on Ibiza. With your own private pool, garden, dining room and kitchen and spend your hot summer days next to a private pool in perfect relaxation. Here is a little guide on getting the right villa for you and your family.

Finding a villa for summer 2012

Too find a villa choose the websites that have direct contact to owners. Therefore choose sites that are not agents taking big commissions. Find the sites that will put you in contact with the owners so you can negotiate a good price for your villa and communicating with the owner gives you more comfort that you will get all you need to enjoy a great holiday. A popular website for luxury houses to rent is Ibiza Holidays. They seem to have a selection of villas that are trust worthy and have direct contact to owners. Trusted websites that have been on the internet for many years are the wisest choice these days. Some villa sites appear and disappear within a year. With Ibiza Holidays they have been online over 10 years which tells you they not about to disappear from the scene. A lot of new villa sites that spend money on search engine optimization and spend money on good looking sites never have the backing when it comes down to it for the main services of the business which is putting people into villas and giving you a great holiday. We choose Ibiza Holidays because we have first-hand experience of renting a villa through this website. We were put in contact with the owner straight away and dealt with the owner direct and we saved a lot of money for our two week holiday. I have however booked a villa for 1 week through another villa website that was an agent. It did seem like they didn’t care about us after we had booked with them and we had to find our own way to the villa. When we did get to the villa we had many problems with things not as they said they were on the website and I was over charged. We were however finally able to contact the owner who put our holiday back on track. So I would advise contacting the owner of the villa first before booking.

Choosing a location, what’s important for your stay on Ibiza?

When staying on Ibiza, the most important thing is that each and every one of you who stays at the villa can do what they want to do and enjoy a holiday, relaxing, swimming, exploring, sun bathing and even clubbing.

So location comes up as very important issue, choosing the location, area of your villa needs to have a little research out into it so your family can enjoy a great holiday on Ibiza. You want to have somewhere that is quiet, but somewhere which is close to a town, shops, restaurants and nightlife. And let’s not forget the fabulous beaches on Ibiza. So depending on your budget a car is important. If you’re not renting a car then you need a villa that is in walking distance of shops, restaurants and nightlife. Any villas around San Antonio, San Antonio Bay are great choice, as this resort is the biggest resort on the Island and has something for everyone. San Antonio has a lot of nightlife as well as shops, restaurants, bars and plenty of things to do for all ages.

Another place to stay near is Playa Den Bossa, this is the longest beach on the Island and is also the 2nd biggest tourist resort on the Island. Same as San Antonio it has something for everyone. You will probably not find any villas located in these towns so check distances if you are not hiring a car. A quieter side of the Island is Santa Eulalia, you most probably find villas just outside this town within walking distance, but please check the distances it’s important to know how far you have to walk to shops.

Es Cana another big resort has something everyone including two very big beaches. Most villas in this area are located outside the resort.

Places like San Carlos, San Miguel, Portinatx, Cala San Vicente, San Jose, Cala Vadella, Roca Llisa, and Can Furnet you would need a car. Walking distances to shops, restaurants in these areas are a good walk and with the hot temperatures it’s not advised.

TIP: Check Distances from the villa to town, beach, shops or restaurants.

What facilities do you really need?

The first facility that every person wants is internet access. Doesn’t matter where you go on the planet, people will take their laptops, I-phones, I-Pads and even PlayStations for their children. Most devices that have a screen need internet. And when I travel I like to keep in touch with my business, my mails and a general updates from various news sites. The younger generation just love the internet and pulling them away from it for a holiday just isn’t giving them a holiday in actual fact they as silly as it may seem they will be just wishing to go back home the day they arrive if they don’t have internet access. Most villas on Ibiza have internet access, but do double check, as internet by some villas owners is regarded as not important facility.

The top 5 facilities you need in Ibiza are a swimming pool, Internet, BBQ, Air-conditioning and a microwave, these things you will probably be using almost every day.

The top 10 things for ultimate relaxation at your villa:

A stunning sea view. Nothing more satisfying than seeing the sea from the villa you stay in.

Sunset: A villa on the South West side of the Island. If you are staying anywhere on the South West part of the Island you will see some amazing sunsets. On the East side you can see the sunrise, and Ibiza has some very clear nights and a moonrise is very spectacular.

Infinity pool: it is in reality where the edge of the pool terminates like and edge of a waterfall. Very popular and mostly found in very high priced luxury villas.

A large plasma screen TV, with a full satellite package so you can watch latest sport events. Not everyone’s idea of a holiday, but being in another country and watching a live sports event like a football match, Formula 1 can make a difference of enjoying your holiday even more.

Jacuzzi : Sitting in a Jacuzzi with a glass of wine!

An outside bar is a popular, very relaxing most of your summer nights in Ibiza you will be sitting outside enjoying the cool breeze. A little research into this and you find that over three to five hours per day are dining and drinking outside.

If you have children then small baby pools is essential and even a child fence around the main pool. Look out for places that are on the same level and have very few steps. With child in mind you will be looking for cots, small pool, fencing, few steps and as much safety as possible you can provide your child.

If security is an issue with you and you want to be cautious then a safe, alarm system and security cameras are good facility to look out for. Ibiza is generally a safe place when it comes to violence or anything like that. But robberies do happen and having the extra security could make a difference of a great holiday and a bad one.

Service to the villa is what a lot of people look out for. Check to see how many times a week the linen is changed and what other services are available to the villa. What services will come to the villa, like pool service, gardener, maids and any other services that could turn up while you are relaxing by the pool.

Music: The Island of Ibiza is known very well for its music. Find out what kind of music system the villa has, a well amplified sound system is essential in some large villas and the ability to connect your I-Pod makes a big difference, so you can chill out by the pool listening to those Ibiza tunes.

Value for money

If you are a large family then you will need a large villa. You could price up a 4 star hotel or even a 3 star and work out how much it costs per head for how many people you are. Then add the total together which in most cases gives you the price per night for a large villa. People runaway when they are offered a holiday villa instead of a hotel or apartment. In actual fact the price of a large villa is almost the same price as staying in a hotel. Although hotel has advantages over a villa, a villa has advantages over a hotel. So waking up in the morning having breakfast when you want or waking up in the morning and rushing down to the hotel dining room before the kitchen closes is one difference. Swimming in the hotel pool with, sometimes over 50 or more people or swimming in your own private pool is another big difference. So value for money is really appreciated when you realize the luxuries you and your family will be having when staying in a villa on Ibiza. In fact that there are some great hotels on Ibiza and some good quality services that come with them, but it’s all down to the individual of what type of holiday you want.

Facilities are so important for any villa and any villa that rents out should have everything possible to make a stay comfortable. Innovation in this market is about giving people more and making the house they rent a pure luxury, a dream home. Nice article!
